The Model Shop Co. Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Modeltoys, operates what is indisputably the most sought-after toy stores on the Islands. Boasting an impressive range of toys, games, model and hobby supplies, the 8 retail outlets perform more than their role as an opportunity for sales.
The outlets are a primary source of market intelligence, testing new products as they emerge and harvesting information about consumer trends. The synergy allows more accurate and timely purchasing for the Group.
Iklin
Our outlet, The Model Shop stocks an impressive range of toys, games, model and hobby supplies and has always been a front-runner in the toy retail business. It has been completely refurbished and enlarged our retail space to over 650sqm, consolidating our position as the leading players in the toy and hobby industry on the island.
Paola
Feeling the need for a top quality toy shop in the south of Malta, in September 2015 we have opened another outlet, in one of the major shopping complexes in the area. The Model Shop in Main Street Complex has over 300sqm of retail space and provides the same quality products and services as our flagship outlet in Iklin.
Luqa
Only 2 years after opening our outlet in Paola, in September 2017 we have opened our third outlet, in the southern part of the island, Luqa. The Model Shop in Luqa has over 250sqm of retail space and provides the same quality products and services as our other outlets.
Ibrag
In 2018, The Model Shop opened an outlet, this time at the central part of the island – Ibrag, which has over 300sqm. of retail space displaying an extensive range of toys.
Gozo
In 2018, The Model Shop opened another outlet at The Duke’s Shopping Mall, which has 180sqm. of retail space.
St. Paul's Bay
In November 2020, The Model Shop opened a state of the art outlet with over 2 floors and 600 square metres of retail space in the north part of the island, in St. Paul’s Bay. An extensive range of brands and products are available ranging from baby toys to educational and outdoor toys.
Bay street
In April 2021, The Model Shop opened an outlet in St. Julians, specifically at Bay Street Complex displaying an extensive range of toys as all the other outlets.
Zejtun
In 2021, The Model Shop opened an outlet in Zejtun displaying an extensive range of toys as all the other outlets.
The Plaza - Sliema
In December 2023, The Model Shop opened an outlet in The Plaza Sliema, displaying an extensive range of toys including the Boutique Toys section.
